We now offer a choice of three locations, Brooklyn Writers Space Park Slope, Room 58 in Gowanus, and the Brooklyn Writers Space - Carroll Gardens. To apply for MEMBERSHIP, writers must submit an application, resume, and three professional
references which may include agents, publishers, editors, and associates who can speak to the
applicant's seriousness.
Writers need not be published but must show serious intent. We are currently accepting applications for the following locations: Brooklyn Writers Space - Park Slope, our oldest and most esablished space that boasts a skylight, roofdeck and 24 desks. Room 58 - Gowanus, founded with Brooklyn Artists Gym Director, Peter Wallace, this space is designed for writers seeking both a quiet space and a room to sit at a desk and take care of the business side of writing, whether it's interviews, working with a writing partner, etc. This space is shared with visual artists in a 10,000 square foot 3rd Floor loft. The lounge is ample and has several VERY comfortable couches. There are eight desks in the quiet room and fives desks in the business/phone room. Brooklyn Writers Space - Carroll Gardens, is a beautiful bright store front just down the street from BookCourt. Comfortable couches in the writing room gives you an alternative workspace to one the of eighteen carols. All of our locations have wi-fi, laser printing, and storage.
